Aim:

The aim of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for the participants to understand the basic concepts in image processing and get handson experience on the Image processing techniques using MATLAB for real time applications. By attending this workshop you can enhance your knowledge of image processing and will be able to create an application for image processing using MATLAB.

• Introduction to MATLAB programming
• Image pre-processing techniques, filtering and enhancement methods
• Feature extraction (shape, colour, texture etc.)
• Image segmentation and classification
• Case studies on object detection and recognition.
